What If?

What if your sole existence here on Earth is for someone else?  Have you done everything you should?  Have you been selfish in motive?  As you go about your day to day duties, what is it that drives you?  What if you are not here for yourself at all?  What if you are only here for your child, a friend, or a family member?  What if you are only here for a total stranger?

Life is not to be lived for our own pleasure but for that of our Creator.  Living for ourselves only creates attitudes of selfishness and greed.  People certainly cannot see love and mercy in our lives if we live focused on only ourselves.  As you go about your daily routine may you be encouraged to think of others first.  What can you do without to help those around you?  Do you really need Starbucks, a movie from the video store, cable?  Do you really need a closet full of clothes and shoes?  What can you give to help someone else?

Everything you do is seen and judged by others, particularly your children.  Let your light shine forth in a manner that creates an attitude of giving and servitude to everyone who may be watching.  What you do does matter, to think otherwise is merely selfish.  It is not our place to judge if someone is 'worthy' of our help.  It is our place to help period!  What if you lived your life with this perspective always in view?  How would your life be different?  Start today and find out.
